The First Day of 2018 was dedicated to God with worship service held in the church with the word of God from Revelation 21:5 and also 2 Chronicles 7:14 – which reminded the believers that all new things are from God and the true newness and new life comes from Christ. And the church has chosen 2018 to be the Year of Revival.

The preacher said new life could start with Christ for those who have not been accepted Christ into their life. And renewal and empowering of the Holy Spirit can come to those who are already in Christ but have not been effective in their faith life and witnesses to others.
Pastor Peter who preached the word of God quoting from 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
The pastor said that revival happens with man falling on their knees humbly, seeking the face of God, repenting and mourning for their sins of commissions and omissions and turning away from sins and wickedness and turning towards God. “There is a promise,” he said. “God said he will forgive our sins and he will heal not just us – but our land as well,” he said.
“True newness comes from falling at the feet of Jesus for our sins. He can make all things new,” he concluded.
